Siedschelje holiday house
This spacious holiday house is situated in Schwanewede. It is nestled into wild nature with forest and meadows, as well as a fabulous site with lush rhododendrons, climbing roses, blossoming flower beds and mature trees.
The Siedschelje house offers a garden and three terraces with garden furniture. You can use the private parking spaces free of charge. Three terraces provide a quiet spot at any time of day. The garden has a little herb garden, bushes and perennials.
The house is classified as five-star by the DTV for a maximum of two people. It is the thatched former sheep barn of the farm, with latticed windows, old wooden beams and antique furniture in harmony with modern furnishing and contemporary technical fittings, offering an atmosphere of well-being and relaxation. The open living room is pleasantly generous with old beams, a cast iron stove and antique furniture. Satellite TV and high-speed Internet access are available. The new built-in wooden kitchen is equipped with a dishwasher, ceramic hob with five rings, a big oven, microwave, coffee machine, kettle, toaster, crockery for six people. The bathroom has a shower, WC and bidet. A washing machine is available. The bedroom is accessed up a big spiral stairway and has a double bed and a pull-out day bed in a niche. An enormous Jugendstil cupboard provides ample space for your clothing.
The charming landscape of the region is ideal for hiking and cycling, along the Weser or in the Cuxland. Trip destinations include a day trip to the island Helgoland or to the East Frisian North Sea islands, Butjadingen and East Frisia with many places of interest, Harriersand – Germany’s longest river island, Bremen the old Hanseatic town with a town hall and market square, many museums and the Rhododendron Park.
When the family took over the property in 1978 not much was preserved. Since then the dilapidated buildings have been carefully restored and the outdoor areas have been newly designed. Today it is like a little village whose ‘gem’ is the holiday house in the former sheep barn. The owner is the third generation to run a metal workshop with an atelier.
