Historically furnished Holiday apartment at Schloss Heidegg. Splendidly embedded between Tower, Chapel and vineyard in the heart of the park. From here you have a free view over the rose garden, the lake of Baldegg and the Alps. The apartment is situated above the vaulted cellar in the 300 year old mansion. Here lived the inhabitants and owners of Heidegg, in the 19th century the family Pfyffer von Heidegg-Slidell from Lucerne and New Orleans
The spacy apartment consists of two bedrooms, a living room, a corridor, a kitchen and a bath. The historical furniture is part of the castle’s collection.
From the train station of Gelfingen to the castle of Heidegg you need 20 minutes on foot. Every half hour the trains bring you from Gelfingen to Lucerne or Lenzburg in about 40 minutes.
Cars may be parked for free near on the parking area
Heidegg is a paradise for strolling and walking. Discover the bucheye avenue with its playground, the two fire places, footpaths around the vineyards and through the romantic canyon. From Heidegg you can discover many interesting spots in the Seetal, walking or biking (Herzschlaufe Seetal), i.e. lake of Hallwil (Hallwilersee), castles of Hallwyl and Lenzburg, monasteries of Muri and Beromünster, pleasure park Schongiland. Very close is also Lucerne and its lake.
During opening hours you enjoy free entrance to the castle with its multi-media-show (Turmkellergeschichten), castle history, living rooms of the Pfyffer of Heidegg family, children’s attic, the museum café, shop and buvette. Not to forget the interesting events programme with open air cinema, classical serenade, poetry festival, hands-on activities. Free parking included.

    “Wir haben alles erlebt auf diesem Schloss - ruhige, fast einsame Stunden, gemütliche Apero-Zeit auf der Terrasse, betriebliche Vorfreude und Durchführung eines Hochzeitsfestes, touristische Menschenansammlungen und Anstehen in der Buvette, Umritt an den Auffahrt...
    Abwechslungsreicher hätten unsere Kurzferien im Schloss nicht sein können. Positiv: Die Wohnung ist sehr gross und und hat 2 neue Bäder.
    Mobiliar, Küchenausstattung, Betten sind einwandfrei.
    Die Lage und die Aussicht auf das Seetal sind natürlich einmalig.

    Die Verwaltung, resp. der Kurator hat sich bereits früh gemeldet und uns informiert, dass an diesem Wochenende noch eine Hochzeit stattfindet und dies womöglich zu nächtlichen Störungen führen könnte. Negativ: Gar nichts!”
