From this vacation home you can visit the DoeZoo in Leens (10 km), Adventurepark Waddenfun in Wehe-den Hoorn (10 km), Seal Center Pieterburen (11 km), the bustling city of Groningen (14 km), the fishing village of Zoutkamp (19 km), the Lauwersmeer National Park (22 km) and the port of Lauwersoog (26 km). The ferry to the island of Schiermonnikoog departs from here. The island has been declared a national park and offers an impressive variety of landscapes and beautiful sandy beaches, which are among the widest sandy beaches in Europe.
