Important: Youth groups are not allowed.Villa Viva is located in the small medieval village of Tinjan - shopping and services are within walking distance. The Adriatic coast with its beaches and holiday resorts of Porec, Rovinj and Novigrad is 20 minutes away. Pula and the Brijuni Islands National Park are 45 minutes away. From Porec you can take the ferry to Venice. Tinjan is also located near Pazin. It is a small, historically rich town in the heart of the enchanting Istrian hinterland, which has a lot to offer and is only about 30 kilometres away from other tourist towns. For centuries, Pazin was the strongest Habsburg fortress in the area and the headquarters of the former prince. You can still visit this medieval castle (Kastel) today, as it is well preserved. Today it houses the Ethnographic Museum of Istria and the Museum of the Town of Pazin. You should also visit the churches in this area, as six of them are protected by the Croatian Cultural Heritage. One of them, the Church of St Mary in Beram (between Pazin and Porec), is world-famous for the Istrian fresco of the Dance of Death from 1474. The Istrian hinterland also offers much more than just culture. If you are a nature lover, you have come to the right place. Enjoy hiking, the zipline or go on a gastro bike tour to try Istrian specialities. Be sure to visit Lake Pazin, where you can admire small waterfalls, ponds and even caves. You can also swim in this pure nature in summer.
