In the heart of nature, high above the village, just 300 m from the Carança gorges, 17 km from Villefranche de Conflent, 14 km from Mont-Louis, or just a 2-minute walk from Thuès entre Valls station, which serves the legendary Train Jaune, you can also enjoy the Saint Thomas baths, or visit the Canalettes caves. If you love hiking and peace and quiet, the Cortal de la Carança is for you! The property is set in 4 hectares of forest. This old, unoverlooked 19th-century cortal has been completely renovated by the owners. Its warm, comfortable and well-equipped interior will give you a peaceful stay. A few steps lead up to the entrance of the gîte, which is laid out on two levels. The open-plan kitchen, dining room and living room (pellet stove) open onto a private, unenclosed 30 m² terrace (garden furniture) with a breathtaking view of the surrounding mountains. One bedroom with 160cm bed, shower room with wc. Upstairs: relaxation and reading area, with desk, one bedroom (1 x 160cm bed), one bedroom (2 x 1-person beds), shower room, separate wc. Outside laundry room (washing machine, tumble dryer, sanitary facilities). A staircase leads from the terrace to the shared, unfenced grounds (shared barbecue) with another seasonal accommodation on the ground floor of the gîte. A completely independent chalet for seasonal rental is located on the property below. Communal enclosed car park.
