Villa Mamma Vittoria
Unique accommodation in a prestigious Art Nouveau villa (19th century) belonging to the renowned local Broggi family.
You are in a unique location, in the historic centre of Syracuse, the most visited city in Sicily! Within a kilometre radius are the archaeological area (Neapolis), Ortigia (the pearl of Syracuse), the Orsi museum, the Catacombs and the Cathedral!
The villa is on two levels with a garden of 2000 square metres.
The first floor is used as a holiday home (the caretaker lives on the ground floor). The garden and swimming pool are for the exclusive use of our guests. The flat consists of a large, bright living room which has an elegant round bed in one corner that can accommodate two children or one adult. From this room you can access the well-equipped kitchen. A corridor leads to the sleeping area where there are two large, bright and comfortable double bedrooms (one with bath and one with shower) and two bathrooms. Finally, there are two beautiful balconies overlooking the garden and the archaeological area.
The villa consists of two flats, of which the upper floor is dedicated to guests.
On the lower floor, the caretaker lives with a separate entrance.
The swimming pool and garden are for the exclusive use of the guests.
Bedrooms (3) and Bathrooms (2): one double bedroom; one double bedroom; one round bed in the living room; one bathroom (shower); one bathroom (bathtub).
Note: electricity is included up to 150 kWh of consumption per week. Beyond this limit, there will be a charge.
The exterior features a 2000 m2 Italian-style garden with Mediterranean plants. There is also a swimming pool and a cosy solarium. In the park there are benches and pretty corners to enjoy the quietness of this villa. And, of course, the garden is the ideal place for your Sicilian barbecue. Private parking inside the villa. Welcome to Mamma Vittoria.
Syracuse, was the powerfull town in the Mediterranean area (V b.C.).
Here we can admire many impressive monuments of the past as, for instance, the Greek theatre, the Orecchio di Dionisio, the temple of Athena, whose columns, presently, are incorporated inside the Duomo, and the archaeological museum Paolo Orsi, the biggest and among the most important in the world.
Worth a visit also the museum of Papyrus.
Ortigia is the downtown of Syracuse and is a little island linked to the mailand through two bridges. It’s a unique place, nice and full of life and with a great outdoor market.
Piazza Duomo is the heart of Ortigia but don’t forget to visit the fonte Aretusa (where still now Papyrus grows), and to have a walk along the promenade.
