On the outskirts of Melzow, just a few steps from the forest with extensive, beautiful hiking trails, the vacation apartment, which was extended in 2019, is located in a farm building with a separate entrance on the owner's fenced residential property. A small lake with bathing jetty and playground is approx. 1.3 km away and a small pub is just under 200 m away. Further restaurants, stores, a train station and a swimming area on the Oberuckersee can be found in Warnitz, approx. 3 km away. The approximately 80 square meter, centrally heated, non-smoking apartment for up to 3 people was furnished in the upper part of the building, taking into account the old beam construction. It has a large living area (upholstered furniture, dining table, flat screen TV) with a mini-kitchen on the gallery (electric hotplates, fridge with freezer, various small kitchen appliances), a bedroom (double bed 1.40 m, two single beds). beds), a bathroom (shower, WC, hairdryer) and a hallway in the entrance area with fireplace (wood included). Melzow is a settlement in the Warnitz district of the municipality of Oberuckersee and is idyllically situated in one of the largest protected areas in Germany, in the Schorfheide-Chorin UNESCO biosphere reserve, on the edge of the Melzower Forst nature reserve. Extensive forests, meadows and moors as well as the hilly landscape shaped by the Ice Age with large and small lakes offer undisturbed spaces for many endangered animal and plant species. The region, located between Prenzlau, Templin and Angermünde and just over an hour's drive from the capital Berlin, is ideal for a natural and varied vacation. In the village itself there is a beautiful viewpoint, the Wietblick, and a small lake with a bathing jetty and playground. 3 km away, the Oberuckersee lake is ideal for swimming, canoeing, sailing, surfing or fishing, cyclists can cycle around it completely and for hikers there are several signposted circular routes through the Melzower Forst forest.
