Holiday house with a veranda, for a family beach holiday in Caucana, a picturesque little coastal village on the southern tip of Sicily

The holiday house is an end-of-terrace house on a quiet side street in Caucana, which is by the sea and part of Santa Croce Camerina. It is near the archaeological excavations at Caucana.

The comfortable house with modern furnishing is ideal for a family holiday or for acquainted couples. It is spread over two floors and provides a total living space of ca. 155m². The lower floor has a spacious living room-kitchen with a functional kitchen block with an oven, a gas stove and crockery. There is a dining table with chairs in the middle of the room. The comfortable sofa can be pulled out as a double bed. There is also a TV with a DVBT antenna. The same floor also has a shower room and a bedroom with a double bed. There is practical storage room with a washing machine. Stairs lead to the upper floor with two further bedrooms, one with a double bed and one with two single beds that can also be arranged as a double bed. The double beds measure 180 x 190cm, the single beds 90 x 190cm. There is a second shower room on the upper floor. The holiday house is ideal for relaxing completely and spending time with the family, as there is no Internet access. The bedrooms have air conditioning that can also be used as heating. A cot is available on request.

The site is fenced and closed off by a gate. There is a veranda in front of the house furnished with a table and chairs for enjoying meals. There is also a veranda behind the house with a washbasin. The two bedrooms on the upper floor provide access to a roof terrace. Cars can be parked on the street in front of the house.
Some bicycles are available for a small fee. Sea lovers will enjoy it here, as the owner offers boat trips for up to six people on his 18-metre-long yacht. You can book a variety of trips: for two hours, half a day or a full day, as well as two days or a mini cruise. The yacht has three bedrooms, two bathrooms, a kitchen and all the necessary modern comfort. You can also go fishing or diving from the yacht. Prices very according to the route and duration.

The lovely beach is just 250 metres from the holiday house, within easy walking distance. The serviced beach with parasols and loungers is 650 metres away. The nearest grocery shop is 350 metres away. Marina di Ragusa has restaurants, pizzerias, bars, ice cream cafés, a supermarket and other services. Punta Secca, known through the TV series “Montalbano”, is also nearby. The location of the house is ideal for getting to know the south-east of Sicily with historical town centres.

    “Das Haus war sauber, leider war die Küche nicht so funktional wie es beschrieben wurde. Es gab für eine sechs-köpfige Familie nur 3 Messer, 5 große Tassen und zu wenig Geschirr. Der Stöpsel vom Waschbecken zum Abwaschen fehlte. Der Gasherd konnte nicht über den Zünder betätigt werden und so mussten wir uns erst mal von unseren sehr netten Nachbarn ein Feuerzeug leihen. Also Streichhölzer einpacken. Im unteren Schlafzimmer war im Kleiderschrank ein Schubfach defekt und das Bett ist auch sehr wackelig. Im Bad fehlt am unteren Türrahmen ein Stück Holz und der Duschvorhang hat die besten Zeiten ebenfalls hinter sich. Das Haus liegt an einer sehr befahrenen Straße, was nachts auch sehr störend sein kann. Ich denke wenn die Mängel behoben werden, kann es ein sehr schöner Urlaub in diesem Haus werden.     “Im Haus gibt's alles was man braucht. Es ist sauber und die Klimaanlagen tun was sie sollen. Die Vermieter und Nachbarn sind total nett und gastfreundlich. Es sind nicht viele Meter zum Meer und man kann nach einen kleinen Spaziergang auch gut einkaufen. Ich kann es nur empfehlen.”
