Cosy A-framed house on a holiday complex by the Katzenbuckel

This A-framed holiday house is on a residential complex in Waldbrunn, an officially recognised climatic spa resort in the Hoher Odenwald at the foot of Katzenbuckel, an extinguished volcano.

The ground floor of the house has a comfortable living room with a stereo system and satellite TV. The upper floor comprises two bedrooms and a sleeping area in the attic with six beds. The kitchen includes a sink, dishwasher, fridge and small freezer, oven (with child safety), an induction hob with a designer extractor fan, coffee machine, kettle and other items. The accommodation also has a bathroom with a shower, WC and washbasin.

You can start the day on the generous south-facing terrace with breakfast and end the evening there with a glass of wine. The garden has a sandpit for children. The house has a car parking space. Pets are not allowed. Smoking is prohibited in the house. The house was renovated in 2013.

Waldbrunn offers an attractive range of leisure activities all year round. It also has a lot to offer your health and regeneration: a Nordic walking centre, the Katzenbuckel thermal baths with an indoor and outdoor pool, solarium, sauna, massage (about 15 minutes away on foot). An inline skating park, an adventure playground and tennis courts are also nearby, within a five-minute walk.

The state-recognised climatic spa town Waldbrunn lies in the Northern Odenwald right at the foot of Katzenbuckel at 626 metres above sea level, the highest mountain in the Odenwald. You can hike, cycle straight from the house or simply relax in the Katzenbuckeltherme with an indoor pool and outdoor pool, solarium, sauna and massage, a ten-minute walk away. An inliner park, adventure playground and tennis courts are also nearby (about a five-minute walk). There is plenty to discover for families, those seeking peace and quiet, as well as active holiday-makers.

    “Lovely, well maintained property with garden. Lots of animal decorations which my child loved. A selection of children's toys were provided which is a nice touch. Kitchen well supplied with equipement and reception open every day where the people were very welcoming and helpful (with English much better than my German).
    We found the bedroom layout a bit odd, five beds in one room and one in another. Not a problem for us as we are a family of three but it would be more normal to have parents in one room and children in another.
    There is no wifi in the cottage (as advertised). You can buy wifi access from reception but the signal only covers reception and the area immediately around it. Not a problem for us as we enjoyed being online a bit less!”

    thank you for your feedback. I don´t know where you have read that we have wifi in our cottage. Unfortunately, it depends on the season and the weather, whether the wifi reaches into the cottage. In the surrounding of the holiday-village-management, wifi can be used for a fee as you have described it.
    To the bedrooms I have to say that in one bedroom stand 3 single beds and one bed is right under the roof, which is only for children. In the second bedroom is one bed which you can move out. So you have 2 mattresses.

    slaapkamers boven: de 2 persoonsslaapkamer was ongezellig, bed met "onderbed" niet onze voorkeur. Er was een probleem met de lattenbodems van de kinderbedden, maar dit is door het vakantiepark goed opgepakt en direct hersteld. Dat was fijn.

    “Es ist ein wunderschönes kleines Häuschen das sehr sauber ist und auch sehr modern eingerichtet ist. Wir haben uns gleich sehr wohl gefühlt. Das absolute Highlight für meine Jungs (3,6,12) war natürlich das Bett das direkt unter dem Dach war. Auch die tolle Sitzbank mit dem Pärchen kam sehr gut bei den Kids an.
