“Villa Sienna” lies in the green inland area of the Croatian peninsula of Istria, not far from the little town of Motovun, in a quiet and idyllic location in the little hamlet of Sovinjak. The holiday house in an elevated location on a slope offers a lovely view over the picturesque hilly landscape. The stone house is surrounded by a large garden with well-tended lawns. You can relax and sunbathe by the swimming pool. The roofed terrace invites you to dine and relax outdoors. The interior of “Villa Sienna” has a tasteful and elegant décor. The rustic wooden ceiling beams and the in some places exposed stone walls create a cosy atmosphere. On cooler days you can huddle cosily by the large fireplace in the living room. The holiday house “Villa Sienna” therefore provides a wonderful setting for relaxing holiday days.
The house has a ground floor and a first floor. The ground floor houses a large kitchen-diner with an adjoining living room with a large fireplace. Large windows and doors open out onto the spacious terrace looking out onto the pool and the surrounding landscape. On the ground floor there are also a guest toilet and a utility room with a washing machine, as well as one of the four double bedrooms. This bedroom is accessed through a small, separate hallway with access to the bathroom (WC, bidet, shower) and the spacious double bedroom. From there you can also exit out into the garden and the pool area. The whole ground floor has underfloor heating and air conditioning. Stairs lead up to the first floor, where there are three further double bedrooms. Two of the bedrooms share a bathroom (shower, WC). A further double bedroom is also set apart by a little hallway with access to its own bathroom (bath, WC) and the bedroom. All the bathrooms on the first floor have underfloor heating. The bedrooms are fitted with radiators and air conditioning. From all the bedrooms you can enjoy a wonderful sweeping view of the surrounding vineyards.
The house is on the outskirts of a small village on a hill. A serpentine road leads up to it. The location is quiet and boasts wonderful and extensive views. It is an oasis of tranquillity and relaxation. At the same time, directly from the house you can join many hiking and cycle paths along the wine and olive oil route, or visit one of Istria’s many beaches within about 30 minutes.
The nearest beaches are about 26 kilometres away in Umag. It is about 10km to the towns of Buzet and Motovun, with beautiful, historic monuments and fine fish restaurants. About 10 minutes away you can find the Itarske Obliske healing spas with wellness and fitness facilities and therapeutic baths.
All around the house there is a very beautiful garden with typical regional plants. Behind the house there is a further terrace, inviting you to grill and enjoy meals outdoors. The terraces and the pool area are furnished with plenty of high-quality garden and pool furniture.
