This stone-built cottage is set deep in the woods and nestles on a hillside with beautiful views of the surrounding countryside. It offers the perfect opportunity for a holiday of peace and tranquillity, while being only 10 minutes’ drive from historic village of Rouffignac which has a shop and tennis court. A wider selection of shops, supermarkets and aquarium can be found in Le Bugue. Fleurac is situated 13km from Saint Leon sur Vézère which is classified as one of the most beautiful villages in France. Set within the dramatic scenery along the Dordogne and Vézère rivers, you can visit the many caves such as La Roque Saint-Christophe, or stunning châteaux such as Beynac. The wonderful medieval town of Sarlat is a must, as is Lascaux II, the world famous painted cave (both within a 30 minute drive). Périgueux the capital of the Dordogne is 37km, and hosts the Gallo-roman museum and the Cathedral Saint Front which is similar to Le Sacré Coeur in Paris, weekly markets are held there on a Wednesday where you can sample local produce and wine.
