Holiday apartment in a central location, near many hiking trails and trip destinations
The holiday apartment is in Neustadt on the wine route, in the town centre. It is a self-contained, separate residential unit with its own entrance from the courtyard. The owner lives in the main building.
The apartment of around 50m² is on the ground floor and has a living room with a pull-out double sofa bed (160 x 200cm), a bedroom with a double bed (180 x 200cm), a big kitchen-diner with a stove, oven, microwave, coffee machine, dishwasher and washing machine, and a bathroom with a washbasin, shower and toilet, a guest WC with a urinal, and a little hallway. The bedroom and living room each have a TV with cable channels. Free Internet access is available. The whole apartment has under-floor heating.
There is a parking space in the courtyard that is closed off all day. If you bring a pet, note that the house has two cats.
Owing to the location near town, it is easy to visit the historical old town with a Gothic church, charmingly restored timber-framed houses and many street cafés, as well as restaurants. There is a shopping market 500 metres away. The quiet location surrounded by vineyards and the easy accessibility within the Rhine-Neckar metropolitan region make Neustadt on the wine route a popular destination for visitors from near and far. There is a big swimming pool, with an outdoor pool in summer, within a kilometre’s walk. Neustadt’s nine wine villages are bubbling with life and you can meet some of the best vintners and wines in Germany. High above, the Hambacher Castle rises above Neustadt, over the forest and the sea of vines, as the cradle of German democracy. Hikers and walkers can enjoy a range of well signposted hiking trails, past many inns, and explore the Pfälzerwald.
Neustadt on the wine route, at the transition between the Rhine plateau and the Pfälzerwald nature reserve, is an ideal starting point for a range of active trips, whether on foot, by bike, mountain bike or with walking poles. You can explore the surrounding towns of Freinsheim, Deidesheim, Bad Dürkheim, and even Wissembourg, with buses back to the starting point.
