The town is the lighthouse at Punta Sardina which replaces an earlier shot down by former town mayor José Estévez in the 60s, and the only zoo in the commonwealth of the northern island of Gran Canaria, the North Park (Gáldar), dedicated to plant and animal species.
The main parties are the Sobradillo Sardina, with its popular private pilgrimage in honor of Our Lady of Sorrows, and Sardina. Among many other acts include the pilgrimage in honor of San Telmo and Nuestra Señora del Carmen, the Fiesta de la Rama, fires and water marine vessel of Saints.
In North Sardina practiced a wide range of sports including football is, in Sardina Football Club as the prime example. Other sports activities are the canary stick and a rich set of local sports. It is also very common to see people diving and sport fishing. The municipality is the Painted Cave, the house museum Antonio Padrón, the Green House and the Museum of Sacred Aguilar. The latter is located in the rear of the church of St. James.
