    “Die Einkaufsmöglichkeiten sind gut. Auffallend ist auch, dass vor allem die Einheimischen sofort am Zebrastreifen stehen bleiben. Unsere deutschen Mitbürger verhalten sich um 180 Grad anders und ignorieren dies, daher Achtung wenn sich ein deutsches Auto nähert. Der Gastronomiesektor ist ausreichend gegeben, wobei bei einigen das Preis-Leistungs-Niveau eher daran erinnert, dass man möglichst viel für möglichst wenig einnehmen muss. Sehr empfehlenswert sind das Lokal beim Hotel Post und die Eismacherei.”

    “Een discounter en supermarkt binnen 2 minuten rijden. Een groot toeristenbureau (vvv) op 5 minuten rijden. Hier werden we heel goed geholpen. Velden is het San Marino van Oostenrijk. Ze rijden er met dikke auto's en motoren. Leuke winkeltjes, een casino, veel terrasjes en restaurants. Een speeltuin midden in het centrum aan de Wortersee. Iedere avond straattheater voor de kinderen en vuurwerk in het weekend. De Karinthië kaart is een echte aanrader. Ontzettend veel bezienswaardigheden en activiteiten gratis met deze kaart.
    Er is voor kinderen ontzettend veel te doen in de omgeving. Onder de 6 jaar zijn de kinderen gratis. Het strandbad in Velden zag er prima uit. Het strandbad iets verderop Schiefling strandbad had een grote waterglijbaan, een speeltoestel en riviertje met stuwdammetje om in te spelen met een heel goed Italiaans restaurant.”

    “Egal wo wir in Kärnten unterwegs waren, die Menschen waren überaus freundlich, hilfsbereit und gut gelaunt. In Velden selber hat man alles Wichtige vor Ort, wobei etliches aufgrund des Saisonendes bereits geschlossen hatte. Kärnten ist eine wunderschöne und abwechslungsreiche Urlaubsregion. Gerne wieder!”
