This classically charming and hospitable Valais canton offers a warm welcome! Relax and enjoy at an altitude of 1200 metres above sea level. This apartment which can accommodate four people has a terrace that offers fantastic views of the surrounding areas. The numerous peaks in the area offer breathtaking views from a height of over 4000 metres. Gentle winds caress the Rhone Valley, and visitors are fascinated by the changing the colours of the water. Guests can enjoy the ride from the deep valleys to the peaks via mountain roads that are open throughout the year.
Summer
The hiking area around Veysonnaz extends to the Valais Alps in the south. Revel in the beauty of nature in the 300 km hiking stretch in Veysonnaz. One may come across numerous cows grazing in the lush green meadows; they are harmless and love to be petted. The flora, fauna and dry meadows of Veysonnaz has been well preserved, thanks to conservation efforts. The plucking of Silver Thistle flowers or Gentians is discouraged.
Guests can explore the high mountains by taking exotic tours. The 15th century "Bisse de Vex", for example, is a 12 km long irrigation channel and has undergone expensive restoration. The area has many irrigation channels without much difference in altitude, and offers pleasant walking routes and amazing views of the region.
Winter
Once winter sets in and it starts snowing, Veysonnaz is transformed into a winter sports paradise. Veysonnaz is part of the "Four Valleys" (“Quatre Vallées") area which has around 400 km of perfectly landscaped slopes. Many World Cup races are held on the "Piste de l'Ours" above Veysonnaz. This is truly a spectacle beyond comparison! The huge ski area of “Quattre-Vallées” stretches from Veysonnaz and the adjacent “Thyon 2000", on Nendaz, the Mont-Fort (3330m) across to Verbier and La Tzoumaz. The area offers at least 410 km of ski paths for all levels - from beginners to professionals – and one can experience the sheer delight of skiing. 95 ski-lifts catapult you to the peaks from the valley, to ski down the mountains.
