Particularly noteworthy is the well-tended outdoor swimming pool just 5 minutes' walk from the farm. While your children inquire about the farm or take care of the animals, you can relax in the sun and enjoy the quiet atmosphere of the Sonnenhof. In addition to the two horses Jule and Jessica, the turtles Ernie and Bert, the rabbits Lina and Bell, the dwarf goats Balou and Pepe, the two Maltese Nelly and Socke and the four chickens Sprat, Frieda, Trude and Wilma live on the farm. In the morning, your children can fetch the breakfast eggs straight from the nest.Our tinker ponies Jessica and Jule look forward to being cleaned and looked after by the children. One of the many offers on the farm is, among other things, riding education for children. For trips with the family, there are hiking routes right outside the door. In your welcome folder you will find various excursion destinations, leisure activities and cycling and hiking tours, including to the nearby Seppelsee, a visit to the half-timbered old town of Alsfeld and Herzberg Castle.A climbing frame with a slide, swings, climbing wall and sandpit is available for your children. In addition, your children will find a wooden horse with a braided mane and a giant swing on the farm. Berg go-karts, pedal tractors and small vehicles make children's hearts beat faster. The fireplace for bread evenings, the nearby football field and the huge orchard with apple, pear and cherry trees provide variety right on the farm. The Weber gas grill for barbecues can be used at any time by arrangement.In bad weather, your children will find a table football, dart board and table tennis table, a trampoline and seating for handicrafts and games in our leisure room. A small collection of games with board and card games for children is available to our guests at any time.

The Sonnenblume holiday apartment is approx. 52 square meters and is suitable for up to 4 people. It is easily accessible on the first floor with a large balcony and a view of the inner courtyard. The balcony is equipped with a large additional dining table for lunch together in the fresh air.The recreation room with table football, dartboard, table tennis and trampoline can also be reached via the balcony. In the apartment there are two bathrooms with window, shower and toilet. The parents' living/sleeping area and the children's room each have their own TV screen with Amazon FireTV in the living room. The high-quality box spring sofa bed offers space for two adults.Up to 4 people can stay in the adjoining room. In the kitchenette there is an extra tap for filtered drinking water and a soda stream to avoid heavy lugging of boxes and to do something good for the environment. A spiral staircase takes you to the inner courtyard and the garden with fireplace and stream.Holiday guests also have the opportunity to take part in the sporting course program (spinal gymnastics, yoga and other courses) and to train in the fitness room on the special back and fitness equipment. In addition, in each room there are routes of 4 to 8 km for hiking, jogging or Nordic walking.

Your holiday arrival is possible from 2 p.m. or by individual arrangement. On the day of departure you can use the apartment until 10 a.m. or longer by arrangement.Our holiday apartment, the apartment and the leisure room as well as the barn are non-smoking areas. Ashtrays are available in the courtyard or on the balcony next to the apartment.Due to the large number of animals on the farm, pets are not allowed. A deposit of 50% of the holiday price will be charged after receipt of the booking.Cancellation conditions:Special regulations during the Corona period are possible after a written agreement.In principle, a free cancellation is possible up to 90 days before your arrival, after which 70% of the total price will be charged as cancellation costs. If you cancel within 14 days before arrival, we will charge 90% cancellation costs. We strongly recommend taking out travel cancellation insurance.

You can easily reach your farm holiday at Sonnenhof Ottrau via the A7 motorway, Alsfeld Ost exit. Follow the signs towards Alsfeld and after approx. 2 km turn right at the first crossroads towards Eudorf. At the end of Eudorf, turn right towards Hattendorf. In Hattendorf take the first left and at the next right again towards Immichenhain. Continue straight through a small piece of forest at the end of which you will already see the Ottrau sign. In Ottrau go straight on. Immediately after the "Gutkauf" grocery store, turn left into Neukirchener Straße and after approx. 700 meters right into Ottergasse. On the corner you can already see the Sonnenhof and the guest parking spaces at Burggasse 14.
