Eggweid the holiday cottage, pure nature
This house is a weekend home for city weary people who want to get away from it all in a beautiful location. It offers a nice break from the stress of everyday life. Tranquillity, nature and a beautiful atmosphere and simplicity are all present in this little house.
Couples or families can feel very comfortable and enjoy wonderful long and short walks.
If you like simplicity and also like heating with wood. The bathroom is always nice and warm as it is heated with infrared radiators.
Groups of young people from 14 to approx. 23/25 years old are not welcome.
You can go on wonderful hikes directly from the cottage.
There is a restaurant at almost every vantage point where you can enjoy a bite to eat.
The Töss valley and its alpine hills offer a lot of nature.
The house is situated in such a way that the evening sun shines on the house for a long time. It is high up with a beautiful south-west orientation.
It is an oasis!
If you want to rent this beautiful place, you must be able to handle wood fires and cook with gas.
- Important! A 4 WD vehicle is absolutely necessary to drive the last 300 metres to the house!
- No transport service is offered.
- Please inform yourself in advance where this property is located. It is really only for people who are looking for simplicity and nature.
- People who are only looking for cheap accommodation for several people in the Zurich area are not welcome at this address!
If there is no snow, you can drive right up to the house in a four-wheel drive vehicle. You can park directly on the property. Without a 4WD car, the last few metres (approx. 5 minutes) have to be walked up the steep hill.
If there is snow, you can go up with the ski lift, on foot or with snowshoes... Duration approx. 30 minutes
Two to five nights is the perfect length of stay!
Other sports and leisure activities: Hiking and pure nature are the order of the day in this house. When it snows in winter, you are right on the piste of the Fischenthal ski lift.
Excursion possibilities: Various hills and mountains in the surrounding area. Hüttkopf, Scheidegg, Tierhaag, Schnebelhorn, Chrüzegg, Heiletzsegg, Meiersalp...
Other living room equipment (living room 1): Fireplace stove and the stove bench at the dining table.
Other kitchen equipment (kitchen1): The kitchen enchants with its simplicity. There is a gas cooker but you can also cook on the wood cooker. The old chimney is a joy for those who know it.
