Petrčane is a small village whose existance dates back to the 12th century, when it was founded by two brothers, Petar (Peter), and Cane. Throughout the history the inhabitants were surviving mostly by fishing and growing grapevines and olives.

show more its peak when the war hit our country in 1991, when there followed a short break. But our Villa returned the tourists in Petrčane as soon as the war was over, and today Petrčane is a famous tourist destination for numerous foreign and domestic guests.
In Petrčane, about 900 m from our location, there's a court for beach-volleyball, tennis courts, as well as tables for table tennis. Within 700 m distance you can rent jet-ski or try parasailing. Children's playground is distant only 200 m from the villa. Among other things you can rent kayaks or pedal boats. In our villa we offer windsurfing lessons for begginers.
The nearness of the town of Zadar and a small historic town of Nin, as weel as four famous Croatian National Parks Plitvice Lakes, Krka Falls, Paklenica on the Velebit mountain and Kornati Islands, give the oportunity for variety of daily trips.
Nearly 10 km of coastline in Petrčane is perfect for walking or jogging. If you prefer riding a bike, there are more than 10 km of bike routes in proximity of Petrčane.
